Changing of the guard
Grandma Hanson arrived today for her first tour of duty with the twins. Josh and I survived our first day home together with the twins - with Abby being at daycare, of course. We even had all five members of the family in the car at the same time, with minimal crying and/or screaming and kicking.
The twins are doing well - they seem to like to alternate good nights and bad nights, along with their older sister. We may try singing "Kumbaya" at 3 a.m. tonight if we're all up again. That, or taking everyone outside to let the neighbors deal with the screaming. We think that Will and Lexi both are weighing in somewhere in the 7 lb. range, based on our estimates with the bathroom scale. We've cut down considerably on the number of times we get peed on during diaper changes, and I've managed to brush my teeth and shower most days since they've been born.
We did have the pleasure of losing half of another Bradford pear tree in the backyard, this time taking a piece of fence with it. More fun in the backyard for Josh, who has also enjoyed some wicked poison ivy on his arms for over a week now.
Thanks for all for the thoughts, prayers, and food. We couldn't do it without you!
